In this, Timing, waiting for just the right moment, means nothing as Jesus' timing is always now. Always, in our "I believe", He immediately fills you with the Holy Spirit and accepts you as His. He is on duty 24 hours, seven days a week, 365 days a year. He never takes holidays, vacations, or breaks, always ready to provide for your needs. With Jesus, time is of the essence, the words are not joke, all that matters are the words "I believe", and the 'right' timing is always now. In the decision of that moment, your real life begins.
------- So, you have said "I believe"- now comes the time of
"Seeking the Will of God in your life by
Living in the guidance of the Holy Spirit"
as presented in the example of Jesus.
To do this, first look at the New Testament scriptures as the foundation and motivation to live in the guidance of the Holy Spirit:
In this first scripture, we see Jesus doing exactly what God desires for us to live in the guidance of the Holy Spirit. His desire is our public acceptance of the Holy Spirit into our lives, baptism. Accepting and living in the Spirit brings powerful changes to your life.
Matthew 3:15-18 NIV
15Jesus replied, "Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness." Then John consented.16As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him.- in John 14:1, we see the Perfect Leader Jesus counseling the disciples (us too) with what they needed, Comfort; it is the same with us. Then, in John 14:16- we see Jesus promising the Counselor- the Holy Spirit, and in the next 14:26 and 15:26 we see the job of the Holy Spirit- to teach us, remind us, and testify to us about Jesus. He was teaching the disciples but it is for us as evidenced and presented by Peter's preaching in Acts 2:38.
John 14:1 NIV
[Jesus Comforts His Disciples] "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.<<John 13:38John 14:1John 14:2 >>
John 15:26 NIV
"When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me.John 16:7 NIV
But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselorwill not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.In the next verse, Jesus fulfills His promise of the Holy Spirit, our counselor and teacher. Again, this is also for us.
John 20:22 NIV
And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. Here, Peter verifies that we too receive the Holy Spirit when we accept Jesus as our Savior.Acts 2:38 NIV
Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.Acts 4:8 NIV
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: "Rulers and elders of the people!
First,Pray daily to be in the Guidance of the Holy Spirit andto Live Obediently in the Will of God just as Jesus did.
Trusting God and Trusting Jesus.- It is a command to do so.That is God's plan! Jesus said so! He prayed often! To know God's will for living life-Study Scripture, especially the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 4-7).Jesus knew Scripture, Follow His example!Remember, Jesus quoted scripture three timesin His desert experience andbang, the evil one was gone. When you feel tempted, pray and think scripture.Prayers and answers to your prayers, build Trust in God!
Then, in Seeking the Kingdom (Matthew 6:33-4)
Seek to Live as Jesus Taught andSeek to Live as He walked His Talk andSeek to live Righteously before God in Jesus' example to us.
And again, Trust God, Trust Jesus!
Finally, just as First,Most importantly,"Pray and pray and pray, Everyday, often Everyday for the Holy Spiritto fill your heart and guide your life ineverything you think, everything you say, andin everything you do."This, my friend, will change your life. It did mine.
Faith- it is all about Trusting God and Trusting Jesus!
Now,We all make many decisions every day and most of them arenot very difficult, butWhen a decision you make is difficult, when you have prayed in Righteous Obedience to God, whenyou have examined the scripture concerning your need, andwhen in your heart you are truly and righteously atpeace with your decision thenperhaps you are in the Will of God andin the path the Holy Spirit is leading you.
In doing this, we must leave worry out of daily life becauseJesus counseled us not to worry in Matthew 6:25-34,
Jesus did so becauseworry presents barriers to our relationship with Godshoving inteference into our decisions, making difficult the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
As you live out your decisions, discern your needs as they are different from your wants, continue to examine scripture, continue to pray that you are in His will, pray often daily for the Spirit to lead you, live in acceptance of and trusting in His will, live in Righteousness before God byfollowing the words and life of Jesusthenas you seek answers in His Grace tothe decisions you daily make, you will come to know the peace you seek inthe life God has planned for youandin His answers to your Righteous prayersthe peace you find builds Trust,
Thanks be to God

We all make decisions every day. It has been said that most people make just as many decisions in their daily lives as Presidents do, they just do not affect as many people. But, to make the best decisions, President or not, you need guidance. Click the link for more on making decisions in our lives.
