God builds and
strengthens our Faith
Matthew 26:36 NIV
[Gethsemane] [26:36-46pp -- Mk 14:32-42; Lk 22:40-46] Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them,
"Sit here while I go over there and pray."
"Sit here while I go over there and pray."
God's Design to Change Our Lives
As good parents we are happy when our children want to talk to us and be a part of our lives; likewise, God in His infinite creation cares and loves us so much infinitely more; therefore, He wants to hear from us through and in our prayers.
He blesses us abundantly, loves us dearly, and forgives our selfishness beyond what we deserve, why would we not want to talk to him.... often.... everyday.
The more your pray, the more you confess to God that "You are Lord", the more you follow His teachings, the more you desire for the Holy Spirit as your daily guide, the more you Trust Him, the more you will be blessed and the more He will build your faith.
It is God that builds our faith.
Romans 12:3
3For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.
Like a perfect parent, God does want to hear from you. Pray and Pray and Pray everyday; but, above all listen, be still and watch what God will do for you, to you, and through you.
In Trusting God, Respond when He moves you to action through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Do this and you will see His work in your abundant living, you will see and feel the His Glory in the exciting growth of your faith.
If humble prayer is not most essential to our relationship with God and Jesus, then why do you think Jesus prayed so often and especially when He was under stress? In His lowest moment and in His final few moments alone in the Gethsemane Garden, He was in prayer getting strength for the day ahead by praying for the strength to be in God's will (Matthew 26:36-46).
Accept that Jesus sets the Perfect Example on living your life and died to save you from your selfish self;
Trust that God loves you and gladly receives your prayers, and
Feel the Holy Spirit in your life to Guide you
in all you think, say, and do;
Then- Humbly Pray.... often, each and everyday.
Then Listen and Be Receptive to God's answers.
Believe in Jesus, Trust God, Feel the Spirit, and Pray Often-
Truly, This is God's design to change your life.
Thanks be to God.
